Goal 1: Succeed in sports
I want to practice fundamentals for 2 hours on softball and volleyball each.
- Softball
- Glove Work
- Hitting
- Volleyball
- Receiving
- Hitting
I'll improve my defense by focusing on breaking it in properly (playing catch, using conditioner, pounding the pocket) and improving your fielding technique with drills that keep your glove low and your head down, ensuring quick hand movements and proper finger placement for a secure catch and transfer.
I'll improve my hitting by focusing on consistent practice with live pitching for timing, develop a strong foundation with good mechanics (hips driving the swing, head still, eyes on the ball), and build power through leg strength and rotational drills, all while maintaining confidence and a relaxed, athletic stance.
I'll improve my receiving by focusing on footwork first, getting your body behind the ball with a low, balanced stance, then form a solid platform with straight arms, thumbs down, and angle your forearms to direct the pass to the target, minimizing arm swing and using your shoulders to guide the ball to the setter
I'll improve my hitting by focusing on proper form (approach, arm swing, contact point), timing, core strength, and hitting variety, using a fast, whip-like arm swing with a strong wrist snap at the peak of your jump, contacting the ball out in front with a firm hand for power, and incorporating different shots like roll shots to keep defenses guessing.
Goal 2: Go to church 2 times a week
- Bible Study
connecting with others by finding a church with friends or inviting someone, making the experience more enjoyable, and focusing on your personal spiritual reasons, like prayer and connecting with God, rather than seeing it as a chore
Goal 3: Raise $200 dollars over the summer
- Lemonade Stand
- Selling Home Items
- House Chores
I can use a lemonade stand to make money, build life skills, or support a cause by focusing on a great location, tasty lemonade, friendly service, and smart marketing with colorful signs and social media, while adding fun extras like games or music to attract more customers. I can make my price whatever they want so its more reasonable.
I can also sell unwanted toys, books, clothes, or video games at a garage sale or on online marketplaces like eBay or Facebook Marketplace. This can help me by converting unused possessions or sourced goods into cash through decluttering, reselling, or creating new products.
I can also ask neighbors or family friends if they need help with tasks like cleaning a garage, organizing spaces, washing cars, or running small errands for $20. I can also offer to do specific tasks like pet care, car washing, or tech help to neighbors, especially seniors, creating a small business from common household tasks.
